Dear Runners, Thank you for your eagerness in participating in the Taste of Charlotte Festival’s Race to the Taste, however we wanted to let you know that it will not be held in June 2021. We have been producing Taste of Charlotte since 1999 and Race to the Taste since 2014. Last year was the first year were unable to produce the festival and race for the Charlotte Community. But great news! We are excited to have the Taste of Charlotte Festival come back in Fall 2021, specifically October 1-3, 2021 at Truist Field, Home of the Charlotte Knights. We want to bring the Race to the Taste back right along with the festival and we are still organizing those details. All registrations will transfer to the next scheduled Race to the Taste. The 5K will start and finish at the Taste of Charlotte Festival in beautiful uptown Charlotte! Runners should meet on 4th Street near the intersection of Tryon Street. The finish line will be on 4th Street between Tryon and College Streets.

The 5K begins at 9:00am and the cupcake run will follow at 9:45am!

Making the race more appetizing, Runners of the 5K will receive:

*a premium race t-shirt

*an awesome Truliant Federal Credit Union swag bag with fun gifts

*a ticket to a Charlotte Checkers Hockey Game

*a cold Corona Premier after the run

*a Taste of Charlotte Super Coin to purchase a menu item at the festival

Both Participants of the 5k Race and the Cupcake Run/Walk will receive a t-shirt and multiple cupcakes from Dulce Affairs, Small Cakes Cupcakery and Creamery, Dream Cupcakes, and KupKake Kouture throughout the course!!

Stick around after the races for the Food Lion After Party, for a cold beverage in the Corona Light Tavern at the Taste.

We’ll have live music from Tropical Flavors Band and our awards ceremony.

A donation will be made to the Checkers Charitable Foundation from proceeds of the 5K.
