Q: When is the Taste of Charlotte?
A: This year's Taste of Charlotte festival is June 5th, 6th and 7th, 2015.

Q: What are the hours of the festival?
A: The festival is open rain or shine on Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th, 11am - 11pm and 11am - 6pm on Sunday, June 7th.

Q: Are pets permited?
A: We love animals, and have dogs of our own - but for the safety of other festival guests and your pet, we can not allow pets at the festival.  Please keep them safe at home.  The streets uptown can be very hot to an animal.

Q: Where is the Taste of Charlotte Festival?
A: The Taste of Charlotte is located on Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte. The festival spans 5 city blocks from Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd to 6th Street.

Q: What else is there to do at the event aside from all the delicious food?
A: The festival includes many features including Kid's Activities in the CrossRoads and along the event site and the Tavern at the Taste for wines, specialty brews plus live entertainment on the Tavern Stage. We also have multiple local sponsors and national tours. Each sponsor has something new to offer!

Q: Is there live music at the event?
A: Yes. The Center Stage at Trade & Tryon will have live bands throughout the day. Strolling Street Performers also roam the streets plus there is a second stage inside the Tavern. In addition to music, we also have dancing, cheering and the Best of the Taste Awards given to the restaurants Friday night.

Q: Where do I park?
A: Parking can be found along city streets or in decks throughout the city.  Click here for more information and to locate a lot near the event site!  Or check out these options to ride the LYNX Lightrail and park outside of uptown!

Q: How much money should I bring?
A: That depends on how hungry you are or how many eclectic gifts you may wish to buy. All of the food and beverages are purchased using festival coins which you will find at every intersection of the festival. The MarketPlace and other vendors are set up and offer non-food items for sale.

Q: How many coins come in a cup?
A: You can get the best value by purchasing a large cup of coins from one of the Coin Booths for $20. The large cup has 15 coins.  You can pre-purchase if you want to use a credit card, just click here.

Q: How many coins will I need to get food samples or beverages?
A: Restaurant samples range from 1 coin to 3 coins. Beverages range from 2 coins to 4 coins.

Q: Does the Taste of Charlotte offer Recycling?
A:  Taste of Charlotte serves beverages in plastic &
aluminum bottles that are recyclable.  Over 100 recycling
containers can be found throughout the event site. 
Restaurants are also given the opportunity to recycle
card board.  Each year we have been able to recycle between 34%-40%  of the waste produced during the weekend!  Help us make this number even higher by recycling your bottles!

Q: Should I bring the kids?
A: Yes! This is a great family event with hours of fun activities for the young and young at heart.  Music & Performances on the Center Stage are also family friendly!  Enjoy the activities in the Crossroads Areas.

Q: Should I plan to attend more than once over the weekend?
A: Yes! Each day brings new and exciting features to entertain you.  Check out the Entertainment Lineup to see
who is performing each day.

Q: Can I purchase Taste of Charlotte logo'd items?
A: Yes! Visit the Taste of Charlotte Merchandise Tent, presetned by Charlotte Knights for t-shirts, hats, umbrellas, coolers, sunblock, sunglasses and other Taste of Charlotte you can purchase Charlotte Knights Baseball logo'd items at the same time!  Choose from baseballs, visors, hats, pens and more!

Q: What streets will be closed during the Taste of
Charlotte weekend?
A: The festival is held along Tryon Street, from MLK Jr to 6th Street.  On Thursday, June 4th, we begin set up of the event - therefore closing Tryon Street from MLK Jr to 6th Street.  Although Tryon and it's cross streets are closed, MLK Jr and 6th Street stay open the entire weekend.  3rd, 4th, Trade and 5th Streets are all closed from College to Church - however College & Church remain open the entire weekend. 
We also re-open 3rd, 4th and 5th Streets on Friday, June 5th, for early morning traffic from 6am - 9am.  All streets are re-opened by the morning of Monday, June 8
