If you plan your inaugural Taste of Charlotte Festival visit, you’re in for a delightful experience. From June 6–8, Uptown Charlotte’s Tryon Street transforms into a vibrant celebration of food, music, and community. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your first visit.

Festival Overview

Dates & Times: Friday, June 6: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Saturday, June 7: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Sunday, June 8: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM Location: Tryon Street, Uptown Charlotte, from Trade Street to Brooklyn Village Avenue. Admission: Free for all attendees. The festival features over 100 menu items from local restaurants, live entertainment across three stages, family-friendly activities, and a marketplace showcasing local artisans.

Understanding Festival Coins

While entry is free, you’ll need festival coins to sample food, beverages and participate in certain activities: Food Samples: Typically range from 1 to 4 coins. Beverages: Range from 3 to 7 coins. Kids’ Activities: Require 2 to 5 coins per activity. Purchasing Coins:Available at coin booths throughout the festival. Opt for digital coins via the Taste of Charlotte App to avoid lines and manage your balance conveniently.
